The Country Life Institute of Austria opened its doors in Germany in 2006. The team God brought together to begin the training school beseeched God for a location in Austria, yet the answer did not seem to come. Instead they were led to rent a place in Germany. In faith they began their first school year, going forward with the assurance that the school’s existence was God’s will.
It was two years later when they finally understood His plan for their location. In July 2008, they signed the sales agreement and received the keys to a former hotel in Carinthia, Austria. God’s perfect timing enabled them to purchase the property well below cost. The new location enabled them to continue the medical missionary training school and had enough space for them to make plans for a lifestyle center.
The Country Life team was thankful for the opportunity to see their prayers answered, and they went straight to work in their new, more permanent home. By the first of September, they were ready to start the new school year. Students from Austria, Germany, and Switzerland arrived, eager to deepen their knowledge of the Bible as they learn how to share God’s truth and use health as a tool for evangelism. The team is working toward opening the lifestyle center and continues to do outreach with the students, finding ways to help their community. They feel that God has truly written the story of Country Life, and they long to encourage those they meet to let Him write their story, as well.
