For Zambians Charles and Lucy Simpokolwe, Christ’s Great Commission is more than a verse to memorize. It is their life. An earnest desire to work for God and train people for His service burned within their hearts. In 2002 they purchased a countryside property and began their work.
Two years later Charles traveled to Riverside Farm Institute for evangelism training. There he gained the knowledge and skills to start an evangelism training school, the Great Commission Project.
After the training, God led the Simpokolwes from their small property to a larger piece of fertile farmland. Soon Samuel Kalolozhi, another Riverside graduate, joined Charles, and the ministry began to blossom. In 2009 Maranatha provided three One-Day Church structures, which now serve as the church, school, and dormitory.
They currently have 15 graduates serving as evangelists.
