Our Mission
Somehow, someway, our heaven-born message needs to reach the 6 billion plus people that inhabit this planet, most of whom live in metropolitan cities. Millions of people from all walks of life, with different cultures, education, ethnicity and religion are still ignorant of our message. So how can the Seventh-day Adventist Church with its 13 and a half million members effectively accomplish this great commission left to us by our Lord Jesus Himself? The answer was given over a hundred years ago.
The cities are to be worked from outposts. “Shall not the cities be warned? Yes, not by God’s people living in them, but by their visiting them, to warn them of what is coming upon the earth.” (2 Selected Messages, p. 358)
The Radiant Living team of 15-20 young people, organized to respond to this great challenge. Their territory: the concrete jungles of North America, beginning with Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, categorized as the most secular city in North America with a population of about 2.4 million people. The very name of this team, Radiant Living, contains the two words that would best describe the purpose for their existence.
Our Philosophy
ra·di·ant—Emitting heat or light. Consisting of or emitted as radiation: radiant heat. Filled with light; bright. Glowing; beaming.
liv·ing—Possessing life; In active function or use; The condition or action of maintaining life.
God never intended for any Seventh-day Adventist Christian to be satisfied with anything short of a “Radiant” lifestyle. If each one of us truly believed what we claimed, and actively shared what we profess, Jesus would come very soon! This is why our goal is not only to reach souls outside of our churches, but to inspire, educate and train our churches to “radiate” for themselves. To bring life, excitement, and purpose to all those who say, “I believe!”
The Strategy
The Radiant Living team is committed to equipping the church for long-term service. Therefore, we have strategically incorporated practical training in which the Radiant Living team mentors the church members in various forms of evangelism, such as community Bible Study outreach, cooking classes, stop smoking programs, literature evangelism, and evangelistic seminars. We are convicted that in applying these programs the blood of the church will begin to flow throughout the whole body. This approach to evangelism provides opportunities for each church member with their unique personalities and talents to get involved in different ministries!

Our team together with the Westminster Church has recently concluded its first evangelistic series resulting in 21 precious souls taking a stand for Christ through baptism. Nine others are being prepared to take the same stand in the near future. Our work has just begun!
The Gospel to the cities? From outposts? Using young people? Call us crazy if you want. Maybe we are. We believe that this vision will bring the Lord Jesus Christ back to take us home in a hurry!
