In 2004 a group of people decided to start a foundation to help the inhabitants of the Vojvodina region of Serbia. In this region, civil war has ravaged the land and the economy, leaving people with nothing to live on and feeling that they have nothing to live for.
This depression has led to a high incidence of crime and one of the highest suicide rates in the world. People have also turned to cigarettes and alcohol for support, leading to cancer, hypertension, and diabetes becoming serious health problems. The small team that founded the Vojvodina Foundation knows that there is just one Answer to the problem, and they set out to share Christ with the people of that region.
Together, they pooled their funds to purchase a piece of property with one house. One by one, they have purchased adjacent buildings, and once they are able to renovate and add a kitchen, the ministry will be able to open a lifestyle center.
Currently, they are organizing lifestyle education seminars, providing community service in various forms, farming the land to support their work, and organizing activities for children.
In everything they do, the team at Vojvodina seeks to provide hope for now and eternity to all with whom they come into contact.
