VitaSalus is a health ministry operating a medical outpatient clinic in Lisbon, Portugal, and developing property to accommodate the lifestyle center and a school of health promotion. The ministry has also pioneered the work of health expos in Portugal and Western Europe.
In Portugal alone, health expos have reached more than 75,000 people since 2002. More than 9,000 church members have served, providing screening tests, cholesterol and glucose checks, body fat percentage, and more. The expos have opened the way for many follow-up programs, and Portugal’s success with these events is now spreading throughout Western Europe.
The school of health promotion trains young people for a life of service in health ministries. Graduates organize health expos, health clubs, and vegetarian cooking classes, plus they conduct spiritual meetings and Bible studies. Some are serving as Bible workers, while others have continued in other professional lines but with a new vision for their lives. VitaSalus has already begun conducting NEWSTART® programs at the beautiful MiraVillas Resort near the beach. They are following the advice given in the Spirit of Prophecy to have clinics in the country to which patients can be referred. Guests are treated close to nature, among God’s people, where God’s natural remedies are used in conjunction with the best of modern medicine.
In 2008 VitaSalus purchased a beautiful, centrally-located countryside property on which to establish a permanent lifestyle center and school. While still in its pioneering stage, September 2010 should see the dental clinic and medical consulting rooms, the lifestyle center, and the school set to open.
