What began as a dream to have a wellness center in Moldova Republic is now Center of Health & Preventive Medicine. This aspiration began to take shape when, at the invitation of the Moldava Union of Churches Conference, siblings Nicolae and Magdalena Dan, and a group of local lay people acquired a property 90 km south of the capital city of Chisinau in 2002.
Speranta Medical Missionary School was established in the fall of 2003 to train future medical evangelists. More than 140 young people have since completed the course. In 2014 Speranta Medical Missionary School united with the Union’s vocational school in Balti.
Over the years, two of the main buildings underwent significant renovations. In March 2014, just three short months following the renovation, the first wellness guests were welcomed to the 47-bed facility. Lifestyle sessions run year round with each session lasting 11 days. Patients come not only from Moldova Republic, but also from Romania, Russia, Spain, Greece, Italy, Israel, and other countries.
