The focus of Eden Blossoms is to educate children, families, and young people of non-Christian countries to be missionaries to their own countrymen. Its aim is to open church schools, train teachers, establish Sabbath school programs, and build industries for self-support. The ministry’s starting-place is the country of Nepal.
The ministry began from an intense desire to see the gospel carried to the whole world. There was a young lady named Kristina working as a dean/teacher at an orphanage in southern India. While there she took a trip to Nepal to renew her visa, and upon entering the country, a deep burden fell upon her heart for the people. They seemed without hope and without God! Before leaving Nepal, she made a commitment to God that she’d be willing to return and work among those people if He called her.
In 2009, David graduated from Ouachita Hills College with the purpose of going to the unreached people groups of the world and of helping to train and raise up missionaries. His first step was volunteering with Laymen Ministries for a year in their mission training school near Nepal. While teaching, traveling, and doing outreach it was made more clear the need for thoroughly trained workers, and also the need for educating children.
Sandra Horner, director of LMN’s Nepalese training school, approached these two about the need for true Christian education among Nepalese children. Together they began praying and planning. A year later, Eden Blossoms was formed. Please pray for the small team as they prepare to begin their ministry in Nepal.
