Volunteers needed to teach English in Poland (for next school year). School begins in September. At least one year of college education required, and applicants should originate from countries where English is the official first language. Female teachers are especially needed to work with children.
School by the Sea offers courses in: English, German, Italian, Spanish, French, and Swedish. Instructional hours are generally in the evening from 4:15 to 7:45 with occasional morning classes. The student body is diverse and includes children, teenagers, and adults. Groups consist of 8 – 12 students and each group has two teachers, a Polish teacher who conducts grammar lessons, and a native speaker of the language being taught, that teaches communication/conversation.
School by the Sea provides comfortable accommodations, a stipend, teacher’s training, and teaching aids. Students missionaries have access to the Internet/phone; but are responsible for their own phone and electric bills.
